Limen 临界

This experimental photography series, inspired by liminal space theory, uses a medium-format camera and long-exposure techniques to explore the symbolic realm of amusement parks. Derived from Latin, Limen means “threshold,” symbolizing transitions or states between phases, as often described in psychology and anthropology.

The images capture blurred trails of light and motion, transforming static objects and light sources. At night, the amusement park becomes a space between reality and fantasy, childhood and adulthood, and daily life and escapism. It represents the mental states of transition, uncertainty, and change.

Through this setting, the project reflects on the anxieties and transformative potential of liminal moments, inviting viewers to explore their own transitions and how these shape their futures.

这是一组基于阈限空间理论创作的实验性摄影作品，通过中画幅相机和长曝光技术，探索游乐园这一充满象征意义的空间。Limen是一个源自拉丁语的词，意思是边界。也可以代表着过渡时期或介于两个状态之间的状态，尤其是在心理学和人类学中，用来描述从一种状态或身份过渡到另一种状态或身份的临界点。

在影像中捕捉了光与运动的轨迹，使静止的物体和光源变得模糊、流动。夜晚的游乐园，不仅是现实与幻想、秩序与混乱的交汇点，更是人们在童年与成年的过渡中，以及在日常生活与逃避现实的间隙中，所处的精神状态的象征。在这个项目中，游乐园被赋予了新的意义，成为一个审视内心、面对不确定性和变化的场所。通过游乐园这一特殊的空间，表达了人们在过渡时期的焦虑、期待与变革的潜力，邀请观众在这迷幻的夜晚，思考他们自己的阈限时刻，以及这些时刻对他们未来的塑造。
